Bishop David Oyedepo, the founder of the Living Faith Church a.k.a. Winners’ Chapel, has been banned from stepping his foot in the United Kingdom.According to sources at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Bishop Oyedepo’s ban from the UK was communicated to airlines through an ‘Airline Alert’ on Saturday August 9th 2014.
It was also said that any airline that acts against the ban will be fined £2000 (N542,000).
The UK Charitable Commission claimed that the UK branch of Winners’ Chapel exploited her supporters.
Also, Daily Mail UK claimed that the church received £16.7 million (4.5 billion) in donations from members, after they were told that God would bless them with wealth if they gave.
They added that members are transported in double-decker shuttle buses to the church premises, where they are given slips urging them to make debit card payments, and told to obey the church’s teachings to receive immunity from sickness.
